1. How can I reach the EWR Customer Support staff?
EWR's office is open from 8 am until 5pm central time on Monday through Friday. During these regular working hours, please dial (901) 753-4951. When the office is closed, call (901) 753-4951 and leave a voice message. A staff person will be paged and will promptly return your call.

2. What are the electronic warehouse receipts about which I may obtain information?
The Holder may obtain information about any electronic receipt which he holds. No other holder may obtain this data. When a subholder is designated for a particular receipt as a result of that receipt being held as collateral, then the subholder also may obtain the receipt data.

3. How many electronic receipts are issued each crop year on the EWR Inc. system?
During the 2004-2005 crop year, more than 20 million electronic cotton warehouse receipts were issued on EWR.

4. Is there any means by which I can practice working with the EWR system?
EWR Inc. maintains a test computer which is a duplicate of the actual production system. Users may use this system at no cost to practice performing any function available on the EWR system. No "live" receipts are used. You should contact the Customer Support staff to let them know if you plan to use the test computer.

5. I just sent my file to the system and the transfer seems to have completed successfully. Why haven't I received my acknowledgement?
Normally users on the EWR, Inc. system receive their acknowledgements back in a matter of seconds; however, on heavy processing days it may take a little longer than usual to process your file. The important thing to remember is not to resend your file; this only adds to the processing time. If you have a question about your file, call the EWR staff and we will verify it was received successfully.

6. My EWRPLUS software has acknowledgements and deliveries from last season. How do I get them out of my software without having to delete them one by one?
Simply highlight the first object you would like to delete, and then hold down "shift" and press "page down" until you have all the objects highlighted. Once you have them all highlighted, press the delete button in the EWRPLUS software.

7. I have received a delivery that was sent to me by mistake. How do I send these bales back to the holder that sent them to me?
First, locate this file under the deliveries section of the EWRPLUS software and highlight it, then press the "turnaround" button at the bottom of the screen. You will be notified that this batch was turned around into another delivery batch. Press "ok" then go to send batches and press send. This will return these receipts to the holder that sent them to you.

8. The EWRPLUS software let me log in with the wrong password. Why does it let me do that?
The EWRPLUS software will accept whatever password is entered. However, the EWR, Inc system will not let your batches process with incorrect passwords.

9. When I try to connect to the EWR receipt system, I get an internet connect error. Why do I get this?
Most often when you get an internet connect error, there is a problem with your internet service provider (ISP). You may need to check with the internet service provider and make sure your service is not experiencing problems. Also, you may need to make sure there is not a firewall on your machine blocking EWRPLUS access to the internet. After ruling out these common culprits, you may want to give customer support a call at 901-753-4951 to further investigate the problem.

10. I’m trying to deliver some receipts to another holder and I get the error message, “receipt not on EWR file” and I know the warehouse has issued the bales. What may be the problem?
If you know the warehouse has issued the receipts, you may want to check to make sure the crop year is correct on the file you are sending up to the EWR receipt system. Also, you may want to check with the warehouse to make sure they issued the bales to your holder ID.
